Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction Chief of Staff

Linda has over 23 years of experience working in corrections in the private, county, and state sectors, including almost 19 years with the  Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. She began her career with the Department as a parole officer in 1991 and was later promoted to a number of leadership positions within the Division of Parole and Community Services, including Recovery Services Administrator, Assistant Chief of Community Residential Services, and Chief of the Bureau of Community Sanctions.  Linda served as Deputy Director of Parole and Community Services until February 2010, when she was tapped to become Assistant Director of the agency. In January 2011, Linda was named Chief of Staff.

Linda earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University and is a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor through the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professional Board.

Linda is a member of the American Correctional Association, Ohio Correctional and Court Services Association, American Probation and Parole Association, International Community Corrections Association, National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice, and an ex-officio trustee of the Ohio Justice Alliance for Community Corrections.  She is also the recipient of the Dr. Bennett J. Cooper Lifetime Achievement Award, the Alvis House President's Golden Rule Award, and the ODRC Reginald A. Wilkinson Award for Excellence in Management.
