Deputy Director

The Office of Human Resources is responsible for the recruitment, assessment, hiring, training, fair labor practices, promotions, and retention of corrections professionals. It is composed of the Bureau of Personnel, Bureau of Labor Relations, and the Corrections Training Academy. Staff within its various divisions are committed to serving their customers through mutual respect, professionalism, and a standard of excellence.

It is essential to the orderly operation of a correctional system that employees conduct themselves in a professional manner. All employees of the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction must conduct themselves professionally and in a law-abiding manner at all times. Employees shall display a professional and courteous demeanor and be appropriately responsive when interacting with inmate visitors, victims, volunteers, contractors, applicants or other members of the general public. It is the assigned responsibility of all staff to establish and sustain a positive public image.
