Overview

The Ohio Central School System is pleased to highlight the CCI Sherman School graduates and announce that from 10/1/2009 through 7/31/2010, CCI awarded 93 GED completers, 46 vocational completers, 40 Literacy completers, 35 ABE completers and 141 Pre-GED completers.  In addition, at the end of fiscal year 2010 the Sherman School had served 807 academic students, 57 Career-Technical students, 356 Career Enhancement students, and 272 advanced job training students.

A unique fact about the CCI Sherman School is that it was built in 1931, and was part of the US Reformatory of Chillicothe.  In 1966, the State Of Ohio acquired the grounds and made it the Chillicothe Correctional Institution.  Today the Sherman School is pleased to be a part of the institutions history by offering those who enter its doors quality educational programming and career enhancing tools proven to help prepare those reentering society with the skills to become productive tax paying citizens.
