State Prisons Director to Release Follow Up
Review of Cincinnati Volunteers of America/Southern Ohio Rehabilitation
Treatment Services Progress Report
(Columbus) – Today,
Director Terry J. Collins of the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and
Correction (DRC) will release the progress report regarding the Southern Ohio
Rehabilitation Treatment Services, previously known as the Cincinnati Volunteers
of America (VOA). Earlier this
year, Director Collins commissioned an Executive Committee to review policies
and procedures at the Cincinnati VOA, along with the events and facts
surrounding the placement and discharge of Anthony Kirkland at the facility.
The Executive Committee submitted a report of its findings on March 27,
2009 which required an additional follow up report on the progress at the
halfway house.
The progress report will
