EXECUTION SCHEDULED FOR INMATE CHRISTOPHER NEWTON

(Columbus)--- The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction has confirmed that inmate Christopher Newton, A378-452, is scheduled for execution on Thursday, May 24, 2007. The Ohio Revised Code mandates lethal injection as the manner of execution.

Newton was convicted and sentenced to death for the 2001 Aggravated Murder of Jason Brewer, in Richland County, Ohio.
