Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE April 11, 2005
(COLUMBUS)--- The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC) will host an event on Wednesday, April 13, 2005 to pay tribute to DRC service men and women who have been activated for duty in the military since September 11, 2001. Director Wilkinson will be joined by Colonel Matthew Kambic, Assistant Adjutant General, Army, Ohio National Guard and other dignitaries to pay homage to these servicemen and women. Over 300 DRC staff – more than any other state agency in Ohio – have been called to service in our nation’s “war on terror”.
The ceremony, which will be held in the Lausche Building on the grounds of the Ohio State Fair and Expo Center beginning at 1:00 PM, will recognize each of those DRC staff members who have bravely left behind family, friends and colleagues to protect our nation against threats to domestic and national security.
