DRC Releases External Evaluation of Prison Health Care System

(Columbus) – The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC) received the findings of Dr. Steven S. Spencer, an independent consultant who was hired to review the Department’s policies and procedures in delivering quality health care. This review was implemented after Governor Bob Taft instructed DRC to hire an outside consultant and form an internal review committee to review and recommend changes in that would enhance the quality of prisoner’s health care.
