• Wednesday - Saturday
  • 8:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. (morning session)
  • 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (afternoon session)
  • 2:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. (evening session)      
• Visitors must be processed in no later than 10:00 a.m. for morning visiting sessions and 1:15 p.m. for afternoon visiting sessions, and 4:30 p.m. for evening visiting sessions.
• Visiting is closed on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and all State Holidays.
• Visiting hours are subject to change without notice. Please call the institution to verify visiting hours before planning a visit.

• Reservations are accepted 30 days in advance. 
• Approved visitors may make a reservation by calling 740-845-0174.  The visiting reservation line is answered Wednesday through Saturday at the following times:  10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.; 1:15 p.m. – 2:15 p.m.; and 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

 Number of Visiting Sessions

All visitors will be permitted up to 3 sessions per month regardless of their relationship to the inmate unless they are housed in B3.

Inmates housed in B3 will be permitted 6 sessions per month.

Institution-Specific Visiting Information

• Visiting is limited to a maximum of 5 visitors per inmate at one time, unless special arrangements have been made in advance.

Inmate Funds

A kiosk is available in the front entry building of the institution from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., 7 days a week.  Approved visitors may deposit funds into an offender trust account or PIN Debit phone account using the kiosks.  For additional information on inmate funds or other deposit options please visit http://www.drc.ohio.gov/web/inmate_funds.htm. 

Correspondence

• Written correspondence to inmates must include the inmate's name and number on the envelope and be addressed to the appropriate institution.

Unique Programs

• The Renaissance Program is a seven week program of healing restoration and learning how to support inmate loved ones upon Reentry back into the community.  It represents the flagship of the various programs offered by LoCI's Recovery Services Department.  The program emphasizes honesty, ethical living, and responsibility as part of a new life abstinent from alcohol and other drugs. Armed with strategies to face the challenges of reentry and their post-release lives, Renaissance graduates exit prison far better prepared to become useful citizens and heads-of-households.
• The New Beginnings Unit is a Community Service, Restorative Justice, Interfaith program.  Inmates will have the opportunity to give back to society by providing community service and participating in programming that will assist with gaining a better understanding of the impact their crimes had on their victims and to help inmates restore relationships. This program also gives inmate the opportunity to enhance their spirituality by living in an interfaith community.  Inmates will be able to develop a sense of awareness for other faiths and religions and gain a more sensitive point of understanding for their own faith.  Inmates will also be able to gain experience, skills and credentials for employment in the community upon their release from LoCI by participating in PUPP (Pets Uniting People Apprenticeship Program.)
• The Horizon Program is an interfaith dormitory program where participants undergo a faith and character transformation by living in family units and utilizing social skill training, spiritual growth initiatives, and weekly visits with outside community mentors.  Horizon builds supportive connections between London Correctional Institution and community volunteers to reduce recidivism rates thus creating safer communities. Horizon's objectives are:
  • Increase personal responsibility
  • Increase family responsibility with programs to strengthen family relations;
  • Enhance employability through improved life skills and mentoring;
  • Develop cooperation and citizenship through weekly group and community meetings;
  • Increase religious and social tolerance by training from qualified faith and community volunteers

Inmate Programs
