The Sequoyah School operates on the grounds of the Noble Correctional Institution (NCI), located in Caldwell, Ohio.  NCI houses an average of 2,400 minimum, medium and close security inmates. The NCI Sequoyah School is proud to commit to the following educational programs:

Academic Programs:

  • Adult Basic Education
  • Tutor Training
  • GED
  • Pre-GED
  • Advanced Job Training

Career/Technical (vocational) Programs:

  • Apprenticeship
  • Carpentry Career Development (CD) (one-year program)
  • Carpentry Career Enhancement (CE) (five-week program)
  • Turf Management CD (one-year program)
  • Turf Management CE (five-week program)

The NCI Sequoyah School Career-Technical Carpentry program has completed several community service projects over the past year that have benefited the community and saved local non-profit organizations thousands of dollars.  Students in the Carpentry program design, construct, and finish the projects under the supervision of their instructor. The inmates take pride in the projects they complete and learn a skill while helping the community.
